How to play Tower Siege

Pick a machine, then tap an empty plot twice to build it there.

Your machines earn your gold: each kill pays its bounty to whoever owns the machine that made it.

Tap one of your machines to upgrade or sell it. Only the owner can.

Enemies walk the path towards the keep, and fliers take their own line. Each one that gets through costs a life.

Survive every wave to win. A match is 10, 20 or 30 waves.
Ways to play
- Single Player
- One commander defends the keep.
- Shared Keep
- Two commanders defend one base with one pool of lives.
- Head-to-Head
- Two commanders share the danger but compete for tower kills.
- Team Siege
- Four commanders in two teams. Team tower kills decide the winner after the final wave.
The machines
- Arrow Nest, Bombard and Frost Spire
- The three every commander starts with: cheap fast shots, a heavy shell that splashes, and a spire that slows everything it touches.
- Arc Coil and Ballista
- Unlocked with coins earned by playing: a short-range bolt that jumps between enemies, and a long-range bolt that goes straight through armour.
- Sunfire Mortar and Glacier Crown
- Elite machines, also unlocked with coins.
- Void Lance and Tempest Spire
- Two more, unlocked with gems earned from daily challenges.
The enemies range from quick Runners and Grunts to armoured Brutes, flying Wings, Wardens and the Siege Beast.
Tips
- Cover the fliers' line early. Ground towers alone won't stop them.
- Slowing machines make every other tower near them better.
- In team modes, talk about who builds where so your gold isn't spent twice on the same corner.

- Is Tower Siege free?
- Yes. It's free to play in the browser with no adverts inside the game. Coins and gems for the extra machines are earned by playing.
- Can I play Tower Siege alone?
- Yes. Single Player is one commander against every wave.
- How many players can play?
- Up to four: together on one keep, head to head, or 2v2.
- How long does a match take?
- Between about 8 and 20 minutes, depending on whether the host picks 10, 20 or 30 waves.
- Can I play Tower Siege on my phone?
- Yes. Tower Siege runs in your phone's browser with nothing to install, on Android and iPhone. Turn the phone sideways to play. One finger is all it needs: taps, or drag and let go. Friends can join the same room from their own phones, tablets or computers.
