How to play Go Eat Fish
- 1
Pick your fish and dive in.
- 2
Swim into fish smaller than you to eat them and grow. Anything bigger than you can eat you, including other players.
- 3
Schools of small fish are easy meals. Bigger predators such as swordfish and tiger sharks turn up as you grow.
- 4
Every so often a Zombie Shark sweeps through the reef. Get out of its way.
- 5
When you're eaten, your run ends with a score. Dive back in and try to beat it.
The fish
There are over thirty fish to choose from, from a neon tetra and a guppy up to tangs, surgeonfish and beyond. The first few are free and the rest are unlocked with coins earned while you swim.
The scoreboard shows everyone in the water, their current size and their best run, so you always know who is worth avoiding.
Playing with friends
Make a room on PlaywithBuddies, pick Go Eat Fish and send your friends the room link. Everyone swims in the same reef from their own phone or computer, with nothing to install.
With friends in the water the game changes: the fish you grew up on are now competition, a friend who was smaller a minute ago can overtake you, and teaming up to chase the biggest player off the reef is half the fun.
Tips
- Grow on the small schools before you go looking for other players.
- Stay near the edge of a school, not in the middle, where a predator can reach you.
- A player the same size as you is a risk, not a meal.
