How to play Let Me Go!
- 1
Each player starts on one edge of the board and races to the opposite edge.
- 2
On your turn, either move your pawn one square up, down, left or right, or place one of your walls.
- 3
A wall covers two squares of groove. Walls can't cross or overlap, and no wall may seal any pawn in: there must always be a route to every goal.
- 4
Face another pawn with nothing behind it and you can jump straight over it. If a wall, the edge or another pawn is behind it, the jump goes diagonally instead.
- 5
With two players, each has ten walls. With four, each has five, and play goes round all four edges.
- 6
Four players can also play as two teams of two on a bigger 11 by 11 board, with seven walls each.
The bots
Six levels: Rookie, Runner, Architect, Strategist, Mastermind and Grandmaster. The higher ones look further ahead, keep walls in reserve and place them on the leader's own route.
Pawns
Eight pawn shapes, drawn in the game. The colour always shows whose pawn is whose. New shapes are bought with coins earned by playing.
Tips
- Don't spend all your walls early. The last few walls decide most games.
- A wall is worth placing when it adds more steps to your opponent's route than it costs you in time.
- Watch the shortest path, not the straight line. Walls change which route is shortest.
Let Me Go! questions
- Is Let Me Go! free to play here?
- Yes, in the browser, with no download and no adverts inside the game.
- How many players can play?
- Two, or four as a free-for-all or two teams of two. Bots can fill any empty places.

- Yes, at six levels from Rookie to Grandmaster.
- Can I play Let Me Go! on my phone?
- Yes. Let Me Go! runs in your phone's browser with nothing to install, on Android and iPhone. It is played with the phone held upright. One finger is all it needs: taps, or drag and let go. Friends can join the same room from their own phones, tablets or computers.
