A bowl that changes because of you
Your first home is a quiet glass bowl with a broken filter. The water is cloudy, the fixtures need work and your oxygen runs down while you stay submerged. Visit the surface for air, then head back below to help Pip. Restoring the filter brings bubbles and underwater breathing back. Other repairs wake up the lookout, cottage and lanterns, so the same place gradually feels warmer and more alive.
Swimming is free in every direction. Look around, move up or down through the plants, investigate the rocks and make a short leap above the surface. Little tunnels give smaller fish a route that larger bodies cannot use. The starter bowl has no attacking fish, so it is a good place to learn your turns and burst before travelling farther.
Follow the water into four different worlds
The Windowsill leads to Emerald Gardens, the Sunken Archive and Coral Cathedral. Each aquarium has its own resident guide, repairs and part of the broken-pump story. The larger habitats add roots, sheltered passages, furnished structures and unusual neighbors, including a turtle, crab, axolotl, jellyfish and octopus. These residents live in the world; they are separate from the fish you can choose to play.
The Archive has a particular job for you: recover four recordings through its tests, then restore the sound gate. The recordings continue playing when the gate works. Finish a whole aquarium to earn new playable fish. Start with a tiny betta or Comet, then discover fourteen more fish, including a small guppy and an upright seahorse.
Food chases, surface jumps and remembered notes
The story has 32 tasks. Some ask you to help or repair something; others start a timed attempt at a blue console. Catch sinking food, intercept moving fry, swim rings in order, reach a ring above the water or listen to a pattern and play it back. Missing a deadline means retrying the attempt, so watch the countdown and learn a shorter route.
Each aquarium also has five optional trials with their own medals. Golden clam pearls reward the story with skills and appearance choices, but the clams have no location marker: look for them yourself once the fixtures are restored. Later tanks have larger fish that usually patrol and occasionally lunge. Burst away, surface or use a rock shelter when one comes close.
Restore the story together
Create a friends lobby, choose Aquarium Odyssey and share the room code or invite link. One to four players can take part, each on their own phone, tablet or computer. The shared story begins once the group has loaded. Everyone can help with tasks and repairs; the host chooses when the team travels to another aquarium or starts an optional trial.
Your solo checkpoint and the host's co-op checkpoint are kept separately in the browser. Continue on the same browser to keep that journey; clearing browser storage removes it. Sound, camera and graphics settings are available in the menu. Automatic graphics adjusts rendering resolution, while Performance reduces the visual load. The game is free in the browser with no download. Optional gem looks change appearance only and use the site's existing account wallet.
Tips
- Repair the filter early so you can explore without returning for air.
- Watch the task countdown and start timed attempts only when you are ready.
- Cut across a fry's route rather than following its tail.
- Look under shelves and around the cottage when searching for a clam.
