Jetski Racing 3D: how to land stunts and race faster

Updated · 4 minute read

In Jetski Racing 3D, the fastest useful stunt is one you can land without missing the next checkpoint. Learn the main racing line first, approach ramps straight, and save boost for the exit of a turn. Airtime, rings and completed tricks earn pending boost that you bank on a clean landing.

Your first two-lap race

  1. 1Open Jetski Racing 3D, create a room and start the game. You can play as a guest or sign in with Google. Alone in the room, choose Race to ride against two AI rivals, or Time Trial to chase your own time.
  2. 2Pick Sunset Circuit and Gentle waves to learn the route. Choose 1, 2 or 3 laps before starting; two is the default. Both tracks have ordered checkpoints; use the next-gate arrow before chasing a stunt ring. Brake before a sharp turn: a hard or tilted landing can wreck your ski, which returns after one second with no speed.
  3. 3Complete a lap on the broad main route before trying the narrow gold ramps. If you miss a gate, return to it: a shortcut through later gates does not count.
  4. 4Read the lap splits after finishing. Improve one corner or ramp approach at a time rather than changing your whole route every attempt.

Keyboard and phone controls

Keep a phone sideways. Computer keys can be changed in Settings. Recovery places you near the previous checkpoint and adds three seconds, so use it when you are stuck or off course rather than as a shortcut.

Brake before a bend, boost after it

Look toward the next gate and give yourself space to turn. A sharp turn at full boost can leave you sliding past the racing line. Ease off or brake before the bend, then accelerate as the jet ski points toward the exit.

Spend boost where you can hold a clear line: a straight, a broad corner exit or a planned ramp approach. Holding boost throughout a tight section burns fuel while you correct your steering.

The boost meter slowly refills while you ride on the water without boosting. Clean stunts are another source, but chasing every ring is not always the quickest route around the track.

How to bank stunt points and boost

Airtime can add more points and boost. Only a clean landing banks the pending reward; stunt points are not the same as coins or gems.

  1. 1Line up with a broad ramp before reaching its lip. Correcting your angle at the last moment can send you away from the next checkpoint.
  2. 2Use the height of the jump to decide whether a trick will fit. Start with a barrel roll; it completes faster than a backflip.
  3. 3Fly through a ring when it fits your route. Each ring can be claimed once per lap, and its points remain pending until you land.
  4. 4Chain tricks on a big jump: press the next one while the first is still turning and it follows straight after. Each extra trick in the same jump pays half again as much.
  5. 5Finish the last trick before touching the water. Landing mid-trick, a very hard landing or hitting rock at speed wrecks the jet ski: you lose the pending combo and restart from a standstill on the racing line a second later.
  6. 6Watch the clean-landing message and boost meter. The banked fuel is useful for the next straight; boosting in midair spends fuel even though the jump is earning a pending reward.

Sunset Circuit or Caldera Rush?

Sunset Circuit is the shorter 1.7 km course, with Coral Cut tunnel, a neon underpass, harbor details and a broad main line. Learn the checkpoint order here and build confidence on its wide scoop and step-up ramps.

Caldera Rush is 2.1 km, with volcanic cliffs, a coastal viaduct and narrower optional skyline jumps. Treat the risky route as an experiment: compare your lap split with the safer line before assuming the extra stunt points make it faster.

Choose Gentle, Rough or Heavy waves before starting a race. Higher waves change the ride; personal-best records are kept separately for each course and sea state, so compare like with like.

Race friends and keep the picture smooth

For an online race, share your room code with up to three friends. Everyone uses their own device; guests can join. The host chooses the course and sea state. If the host leaves or reloads, the race ends and the room can start another.

Choose Automatic graphics first, then lower graphics or resolution if frames feel slow. Motion reduction and stronger HUD contrast are available too. Public-beta performance on physical phones and across distant regions is still being reviewed.

Your time-trial ghost and lap records stay in this browser. Clearing its storage removes them. Cosmetic jet skis share the same speed and handling, so improving your line matters more than which craft you equip.

Questions

Why did my stunt boost disappear?
It was still pending. An unfinished trick or hard landing can lose the combo; land cleanly to put the reward into your boost meter.
Should I take every ramp and ring?
No. A stunt is useful when you land on a good line toward the next checkpoint. Compare lap splits to see whether an optional route helps.
Does a more expensive jet ski race faster?
No. The eight craft are cosmetic and share the same speed and handling.
Can I practice without friends?
Yes. Race two AI rivals or choose Time Trial to chase your personal best and replay ghost.
